Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.
4. General Refund Principles #
ServerDots strives to provide reliable services and fair customer support. Our Money-Back Guarantee is intended to allow customers to evaluate eligible Services with confidence.
Refunds are provided only in accordance with this Policy.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Refunds apply only to the Initial Purchase of an eligible Service.
- Service renewals are not refundable.
- Refund eligibility applies only within the applicable Money-Back Guarantee period.
- Refunds do not apply to Services specifically identified as non-refundable.
- Customers must request cancellation before requesting a refund.
- Refunds will only be issued to the original purchaser using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Approval of a refund for one Service does not create any obligation for ServerDots to approve refunds for future purchases.

ServerDots offers a limited Money-Back Guarantee for selected Services.
The applicable guarantee period depends on the type of Service purchased.
Unless otherwise stated in this Policy:

- the Service has not been suspended or terminated for fraud, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
The guarantee period begins on the date the Service is first provisioned or activated.
6. Shared Hosting Refunds #
Shared Hosting plans are eligible for the Money-Back Guarantee described in Section 5.
Eligible customers may request cancellation and a refund during the applicable guarantee period for the Initial Purchase of a Shared Hosting Service.
The guarantee applies solely to the hosting service fees.
The following items are not included within the Shared Hosting Money-Back Guarantee:
- Domain registrations;
- Domain renewals;
- Domain transfers;
- SSL Certificates;
- Paid software licenses;
- Website migration services;
- Professional services;
- Setup fees;
- Third-party products;
- Taxes or governmental charges where non-refundable by law.
If a Shared Hosting package includes a free domain registration, ServerDots reserves the right to deduct the standard registration cost of the domain from any approved refund where the domain has already been registered or transferred.
Customers requesting a refund under this section must submit a cancellation request through the Client Area before the expiry of the applicable Money-Back Guarantee period.
A refund approved under this section terminates the associated hosting Service immediately unless otherwise agreed by ServerDots.
7. WordPress Hosting Refunds #
WordPress Hosting Services are eligible for the Money-Back Guarantee set out in Section 5 of this Policy.
Eligible customers may request cancellation and a refund within the applicable guarantee period for the Initial Purchase of a WordPress Hosting Service.
The Money-Back Guarantee applies only to the hosting service itself and does not extend to any additional products or services purchased together with the hosting plan.
The following are not refundable under the WordPress Hosting Money-Back Guarantee:
- Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers;
- Premium themes or plugins;
- SSL Certificates;
- Software licenses;
- Website migration or development services;
- Professional services;
- Setup fees;
- Third-party products;
- Taxes and governmental charges where non-refundable by law.
Where a hosting package includes a complimentary domain name and that domain has already been registered or transferred, ServerDots reserves the right to deduct the standard registration cost of the domain from any approved refund.
Upon approval of a refund, the associated WordPress Hosting Service and all related data may be permanently removed in accordance with our Terms of Service. Customers are responsible for downloading any required data before cancellation.
8. Reseller Hosting Refunds #
Reseller Hosting Services are eligible for the Money-Back Guarantee described in Section 5.
Eligible customers may request a refund only for the Initial Purchase of an eligible Reseller Hosting Service and only within the applicable guarantee period.
Refund eligibility applies solely to the hosting service fees.
The following items are excluded from refund eligibility:
- Domain registrations;
- Domain renewals;
- Domain transfers;
- SSL Certificates;
- Software licenses;
- WHMCS licenses;
- cPanel licenses;
- CloudLinux licenses;
- LiteSpeed licenses;
- JetBackup licenses;
- Imunify360 licenses;
- Professional services;
- Migration services;
- Setup fees;
- Third-party products.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that all hosted accounts, websites, databases, email data, and backups have been downloaded before cancellation becomes effective.
Where complimentary products have been included with the hosting plan, ServerDots reserves the right to deduct their standard retail value from any approved refund where those products have already been provisioned or registered.
9. VPS Hosting Refunds #
Linux VPS and Windows VPS Services purchased from ServerDots are covered by a 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee, regardless of the selected billing cycle.
This guarantee applies only to the Initial Purchase of an eligible VPS Service.
The guarantee period begins on the date the VPS is successfully provisioned.
Refund requests submitted after the fourteen (14) day guarantee period are not eligible for a refund.
Refund eligibility does not apply to:
- VPS renewals;
- Additional IP addresses;
- Backup storage;
- Software licenses;
- Managed services;
- Administration services;
- Migration services;
- Setup fees;
- Third-party products;
- Custom configurations requested by the customer after provisioning.
Customers must ensure that all data has been downloaded before cancellation.
Following cancellation, ServerDots may permanently delete all VPS data without further notice in accordance with our data retention procedures.
Because VPS Services require dedicated infrastructure resources, repeated purchases and refund requests intended to obtain free temporary use of VPS Services may be treated as abuse of this Policy.
ServerDots reserves the right to decline future Money-Back Guarantee requests where abuse is reasonably suspected.
10. Dedicated Server Refunds #
Dedicated Server Services are covered by a 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee, regardless of billing cycle.
The guarantee applies only to the Initial Purchase of an eligible Dedicated Server.
Customers may request cancellation within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date the server is provisioned.
Dedicated Servers often require hardware allocation, manual provisioning, and deployment by upstream infrastructure providers.
Accordingly, the Money-Back Guarantee applies only where:
- the server was provisioned successfully;
- the refund request is submitted within the guarantee period;
- the Account remains in good standing;
- the Service has not been suspended for fraud, abuse, excessive policy violations, or unlawful activities.
The following are not refundable:
- Additional IP addresses;
- Managed services;
- Remote hands services;
- Backup services;
- Software licenses;
- Operating system reinstallations requested after provisioning;
- Custom hardware configurations;
- Migration services;
- Setup fees;
- Third-party services.
Customers are responsible for securely removing their own data before requesting cancellation.
Once cancellation becomes effective, ServerDots may permanently erase all data from the server without further notice.
11. Domain Name Services #
Domain name registrations, renewals, transfers, restorations, premium domains, redemption fees, registry fees, and related domain services are non-refundable once submitted to the applicable registrar or registry.
This policy applies because domain registrations are processed immediately with third-party registrars and cannot ordinarily be reversed.
Customers are responsible for verifying:
- spelling;
- domain extensions;
- registration period;
- registrant information;
- contact information;
before completing their purchase.
ServerDots cannot issue refunds for domain names that:
- were registered incorrectly due to customer error;
- are no longer required by the customer;
- expire because they were not renewed;
- become subject to registry restrictions or disputes.
Where a hosting package includes a complimentary domain registration and the hosting service is later refunded, ServerDots may deduct the normal registration fee of the domain from the approved refund.
12. SSL Certificates #
SSL Certificates supplied through ServerDots are issued by independent Certificate Authorities.
Once an SSL Certificate has been:
- validated;
- issued;
- activated; or
- delivered,
it becomes non-refundable, unless the issuing Certificate Authority expressly permits cancellation or replacement under its own policies.
Where an SSL Certificate cannot be issued due solely to validation failure before issuance, ServerDots may, at its sole discretion, provide a refund or replacement where permitted by the issuing Certificate Authority.
Refund eligibility does not extend to certificates revoked due to customer actions, inaccurate validation information, expiry, or non-compliance with Certificate Authority requirements.
13. Software Licenses #
Software licenses supplied through ServerDots, including but not limited to:
- cPanel
- Plesk
- LiteSpeed Web Server
- CloudLinux
- WHMCS
- JetBackup
- Imunify360
- DirectAdmin
- Softaculous
- SitePad
and any other third-party licensed software are generally non-refundable once activated, provisioned, or assigned to a customer.
License subscriptions billed monthly remain payable for the applicable billing period and are not refunded after activation.
Customers are responsible for ensuring compatibility with their intended environment before purchasing any software license.
Where a licensing provider permits cancellation before activation, ServerDots may, at its sole discretion, approve a refund consistent with the supplier’s policies.
ServerDots is not responsible for software incompatibility, unsupported configurations, customer misconfiguration, or changes made by third-party software vendors after purchase.
14. Email Hosting #
Where Email Hosting is included with a hosting package or purchased as a standalone Service, refund eligibility shall be determined in accordance with the applicable hosting Service covered by this Policy.
Where Email Hosting is purchased separately, the following shall apply:
- Initial purchases may be eligible for a refund only where expressly stated at the time of purchase.
- Renewal invoices are non-refundable.
- Setup fees, migration services, and professional configuration services are non-refundable.
- Email data, mailboxes, contacts, calendars, and other customer data may be permanently deleted following cancellation in accordance with our data retention procedures.
Customers are responsible for exporting any required data before cancellation becomes effective.
15. Website Builder #
Where Website Builder Services are provided as part of a hosting plan, refund eligibility shall follow the applicable hosting Service under this Policy.
Where Website Builder Services are purchased separately, refund eligibility applies only where expressly stated at the time of purchase.
The following are not refundable:
- Premium templates;
- Premium themes;
- Premium extensions;
- Custom design work;
- Website development services;
- Content creation services;
- Graphic design services;
- Professional configuration services.
Where third-party Website Builder software has been provisioned or licensed specifically for the customer, such licensing costs may be deducted from any approved refund where permitted by law.
16. Third-Party Products & Services #
Certain Services offered by ServerDots rely upon products or services supplied by independent third-party providers.
Such Services may include, but are not limited to:
- Domain registration;
- SSL Certificates;
- Software licenses;
- Cloud infrastructure;
- Backup services;
- CDN services;
- Security products;
- Email filtering services;
- Third-party integrations.
Where a third-party provider does not permit refunds, ServerDots will generally be unable to provide a refund for the affected product or Service.
Refund eligibility for third-party products shall therefore remain subject to the applicable supplier’s terms, licensing conditions, registry policies, or contractual restrictions.
Nothing in this Policy obliges ServerDots to provide a refund where we have already incurred non-recoverable costs from a third-party provider.
17. Service Upgrades & Downgrades #
Customers may request upgrades or downgrades of eligible Services where such changes are supported by ServerDots.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Upgrades become effective upon provisioning.
- Any price difference must be paid before the upgrade is completed.
- Unused portions of existing Services may, at ServerDots’ discretion, be credited toward the upgraded Service.
- Downgrades generally take effect at the next renewal date unless technically feasible earlier.
Where an upgraded Service replaces an existing Service, the original Money-Back Guarantee does not restart.
Refund eligibility continues to be measured from the activation date of the original Service.
Additional products purchased during an upgrade remain subject to their own refund eligibility.
18. Service Cancellations #
Customers wishing to discontinue a Service must submit a cancellation request through the ServerDots Client Area before the applicable renewal date.
Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
Refund eligibility shall be determined solely in accordance with this Policy.
Customers remain responsible for:
- Downloading all required data;
- Exporting email;
- Downloading databases;
- Transferring domains where applicable;
- Cancelling recurring payments where required.
Failure to submit a cancellation request before renewal may result in automatic renewal where enabled.
Cancellation of one Service does not automatically cancel any associated Services, including but not limited to:
- Domains;
- SSL Certificates;
- Software licenses;
- Backup services;
- Additional IP addresses;
- Email services.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all unwanted Services are cancelled individually.
Once a Service has been terminated and any applicable refund period has expired, no refund shall be due for any unused portion of the Service unless otherwise required by applicable law.
19. Non-Refundable Items #
Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Policy or required by applicable law, the following are non-refundable once ordered, activated, provisioned, issued, or delivered:
- Domain registrations;
- Domain renewals;
- Domain transfers;
- Redemption fees;
- Registry fees;
- Premium domain names;
- SSL Certificates;
- Software licenses;
- cPanel licenses;
- Plesk licenses;
- LiteSpeed licenses;
- CloudLinux licenses;
- WHMCS licenses;
- JetBackup licenses;
- Imunify360 licenses;
- DirectAdmin licenses;
- Softaculous licenses;
- SitePad licenses;
- Additional IP addresses;
- Backup storage;
- Managed Services;
- Remote Hands;
- Professional Services;
- Consultancy;
- Website migration services;
- Custom development;
- Custom configuration;
- Design services;
- Installation services;
- Setup fees where applicable;
- Taxes and governmental charges that cannot legally be refunded;
- Any Service expressly identified as non-refundable at the time of purchase.
Approval of a refund for one product does not establish a precedent requiring ServerDots to approve refunds for similar purchases in the future.
20. Fraud, Abuse & Chargebacks #
ServerDots reserves the right to refuse or reverse refund eligibility where we reasonably believe that a customer has engaged in:
- Fraud;
- Payment disputes without prior contact;
- Chargeback abuse;
- Identity theft;
- Use of stolen payment methods;
- Abuse of promotional offers;
- Repeated purchases followed by refund requests;
- Violation of our Terms of Service;
- Violation of our Acceptable Use Policy;
- Illegal activities;
- Attempts to obtain free use of Services through repeated refund requests.
Customers are encouraged to contact ServerDots before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback.
Where a customer initiates an unjustified chargeback or payment reversal, ServerDots may, to the extent permitted by law:
- Suspend or terminate Services;
- Recover outstanding balances;
- Recover chargeback or payment reversal fees;
- Decline future Orders;
- Restrict future payment methods;
- Report suspected fraudulent activity to payment providers or competent authorities where appropriate.
Nothing in this section limits any other rights or remedies available to ServerDots under applicable law or our Terms of Service.
21. Refund Request Procedure #
Customers seeking a refund must submit their request through the ServerDots Client Area before the applicable Money-Back Guarantee period expires.
To enable timely processing, the refund request should include:
- The applicable Service or Order;
- The reason for the refund request;
- Any relevant supporting information, where requested.
For security purposes, ServerDots may require identity verification before processing a refund request.
Submitting a cancellation request alone does not automatically constitute a refund request. Likewise, submitting a refund request does not automatically result in approval. All requests are reviewed in accordance with this Policy, our Terms of Service, and applicable law.
Where additional information is reasonably required to assess eligibility, customers agree to cooperate with such requests. Failure to provide requested information within a reasonable period may result in the refund request being declined.
22. Refund Processing #
Once a refund request has been received, ServerDots will review the request and determine eligibility in accordance with this Policy.
Where approved, refunds are generally processed within five (5) to ten (10) business days from the date of approval.
The time required for funds to appear in the customer’s account depends upon the payment provider, banking institution, or card issuer and is outside the control of ServerDots.
If a refund is declined, ServerDots may provide a brief explanation where reasonably appropriate. Nothing in this section obliges ServerDots to disclose fraud prevention measures, security procedures, or other confidential operational information.
Where only part of an Order qualifies for a refund, ServerDots may issue a partial refund reflecting the eligible amount after deducting any applicable non-refundable charges.
23. Refund Method #
Approved refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Where this is not reasonably possible, including where the original payment method is no longer available or cannot legally receive a refund, ServerDots may, at its sole discretion and subject to applicable law:
- Issue the refund by an alternative payment method;
- Credit the refund to the customer’s ServerDots account as account credit; or
- Use another mutually agreed method.
ServerDots reserves the right to request reasonable verification before issuing refunds to an alternative payment destination.
Any account credit issued in lieu of a monetary refund shall be non-transferable, non-withdrawable, and may only be used toward future purchases from ServerDots unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Refunds will only be issued to the original purchaser or the verified account holder.
24. Taxes, Currency & Exchange Rates #
Unless otherwise required by applicable law:
- Refunds apply only to the fees actually paid for eligible Services.
- Taxes collected on behalf of governmental authorities may be refundable only where permitted by applicable law.
- Non-refundable governmental, registry, banking, payment processing, or third-party charges may be deducted from any approved refund.
Refunds are normally issued in the same billing currency used for the original transaction.
Where currency conversion is involved, exchange rate differences, bank conversion fees, payment processor charges, or other financial institution fees are not the responsibility of ServerDots and are not refundable.
25. Changes to this Policy #
ServerDots reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace this Refund Policy at any time where reasonably necessary to:
- Reflect changes in applicable laws or regulations;
- Comply with contractual obligations imposed by suppliers or service providers;
- Improve operational procedures;
- Introduce new Services;
- Discontinue existing Services;
- Prevent fraud or abuse; or
- Protect the legitimate interests of ServerDots and its customers.
The most current version of this Policy will always be published on our Website.
Material changes may also be communicated through the Client Area or by email where appropriate.
Changes will not generally affect refund rights relating to Orders placed before the effective date of the revised Policy unless required by law.
